Virtual Worlds for Military training

This is certainly not new, as I have seen this many years ago (and was also one of the testers for the commercial version of the technology: There).

But if you haven't seen this before, watch the video. If you every wondered about 'Serious Gaming' applications of Multi-User Virtual Worlds, this is a good example of a serious application of Virtual Worlds technology.

AS you can see IBM also continues to be involved in VW technology, in this case together with Forterra:

Wow, this is very interesting because that video does not look that much different than say the video game Call Of Duty. Obviously there is some serious military training merit to these virtual world activities. We are seeing current VW for kids move to more of the serious educational side. I bet we will start to see more of this in the classroom. Thanks.
