Papers and publications

This page includes a list of a few of my publications and presentations since 1999. As you can see, a lot of them have been written and/or presented together with Dr. Jan de Bruin, my father, as well as Bruce Damer and Stuart Goldt.

I would like to thank them for giving me the opportunity to work with them. Working with these people gave me more insight then I could even image and being able to visit and present on all these different conferences around the world have been events that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and they make me realize I’ve been and continue to be a very fortunate person, for participating in these events are more than anyone my age can wish for!

As you will notice on this page, the last couple of years I’ve been less active writing about Virtual Worlds. The reason for this is I’ve enrolled in a university program at the University of Utrecht that really motivates me and allows me to expand my knowledge of computer science as well as widen my academic horizon. The only downside to this has been the fact that it does not allow me to visit so much conferences anymore, nor does it provide me enough time to write a lot of non-curriculair papers.

I continue to be interested in the field of Inhabited Virtual Worlds and Online Communities, and I try to use them as case reference point for research in many different topics related to the courses I’m taking at university.
