Galaxy S, how to -really- fix your GPS

It's been a while. I am still using my Galaxy S, and it's nearly perfect.
The antenna remains touchy, you can still seriously reduce the signal just by touching the lower part. This -will- slow down your data connections, and it might result in dropped phonecalls in low coverage areas.
Using a two-handed grip, make sure you dominant hand is holding the upper part of the phone, use a bumper and try not to touch the lower part. This seems to reduce this issue.

Furthermore if you experience lags: Use Android 2.2 (Froyo). Or better: Just use it. It's great. Download Samsung KIES and upgrade to 2.2.

Finally GPS seems to really suffer. Most people using a Galaxy S have issues using the GPS. It's slow, unreliable and for me, it only works outside.

I have done some research, it seems professional service centers know about this issue and it CAN be fixed. It's NOT software, but HARDWARE, I have been told.

The real fix required the antenna to be replaced, some adjustments in the electronics and a recalibration of the compas.

So far, I have not had the time to bring in my Galaxy, but I hope this will solve the problem.
